Croatia is a country located in Southern Europe. Its capital is Zagreb and its border countries are Slovenia, Hungary, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Serbia and Montenegro. Croatia became independent in 1991 through the dissolution of Yugoslavia and Croatian War of Independence against the Yugoslavic government of Belgrade. Croatia belongs to the European Union since July 1st, 2013.
