The Sahara, the hottest desert on earth

A desert is an area that is very dry. Deserts cover about one third of the land on earth[1] and can be found on every continent except Europe.

The largest desert is Antarctica. The driest desert is the Atacama Desert in western South America. The hottest desert is the Sahara in northern Africa.
