Desert pavement in the Sahara (Mauretania)
The desert pavement (also named reg, serir or gibber (Australia), is a rocky desert surface. It is covered with closely packed, interlocking angular rock fragments of pebbles. The lightest fragments of rock have been blown away by the wind.
