screener (plural screeners)

1. One who, or that which, screens.
   1. (mining, historical) A person employed to filter the mined coal through a metal screen to remove impurities.

      Synonyms: screenman, screensman

   2. A question or survey used to filter potential participants based on some characteristic.
2. An advance screening of a film sent to critics, awards voters, etc.
3. (in combination) A cinema having the specified number of screens.
