Blend of English pink + dilawan (“Liberal Party supporter”, literally “yellow-inclined”), with pink as Leni Robredo's campaign color. Despite running as an independent candidate in 2022, Leni was still associated during the campaign with her former party, Liberal Party, which is associated with the color yellow.
