-iamo

From Latin -eāmus (first-person plural present subjunctive suffix of the e-conjugation) and -iāmus (same of the i-conjugation). Repurposed as general first-person plural suffix for all conjugations and moods. Compare the second-person plural -iate, where the distinction between the conjugations was also lost, but the form did not encroach on the indicative and imperative.
