Odyssey

Odyssey is an epic poem about the aftermath of the Trojan War, and is a sequel to Iliad. It is said to have been written by Homer. It was written around the end of the eighth century BC.
The poem tells of Odysseus and his 10-year voyage home to Ithaca. He has many encounters with unnatural creatures such as the one-eyed Cyclops and the sorceress Circe. When Odysseus arrives in Ithaca, he finds his wife Penelope being courted by several unscrupulous men. Odysseus defeats them all.
