Biome
A biome is the collection of plants and animals that have common characteristics for the environment they exist in.
In the terrestrial (land) category, there are seven defined biomes:
- tropical rainforest
- temperate forest
- desert
- tundra
- taiga (also known as boreal forest)
- grasslands
- savanna
