The Alps is a mountain range in Europe. It covers parts of the countries Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Slovenia, and Switzerland. The peaks there are known as alpine.

The Alps are covered in snow mostly year-round, making the land ideal for skiing and other tourism industries. Matterhorn is the tallest Alp, near the town of Zermatt, Switzerland.
