  1. to daub, muddy, smudge, stain (dirty with some semiliquid mass)
  2. to seal, putty, plaster (holes, cracks etc)
  3. to paint over, whitewash (obliterate by paint etc)
  4. (reflexive with se) to get dirty (with some semiliquid mass)
