Equivalent to yay +‎ -la +‎ -ak; from Ottoman Turkish یایلاق (yaylak), یایلا (yayla),[1] ultimately from Proto-Turkic *yāy (“summer”),[2] whence also Ottoman Turkish یای (yay).
