voiturier (plural voituriers)

1. (historical) One who lets horses and carriages to travellers.
   • 1838, John Murray, A hand-book for travellers in Switzerland and the Alps, page xv:

     When the traveller has no servant of his own, the voiturier cleans the carriage, greases the wheels, and assists in packing and unpacking the baggage.
