1. Any of the genus Talinum of herbaceous succulent plants, some with edible leaves.

     These plants have to look good, because of their striking shape, vibrant color or tendency to spread out and meander over the stones in the path, or to weave themselves through other plants the way a golden form of talinum winds through the swordlike leaves of a yucca.
