semizotu
Turkish
Etymology
From Ottoman Turkish سمیز اوت (semiz ot),[1][2] can be analyzed as semiz (“fat”, adj) + ot (“grass, herb”) + -u (possessive suffix). The unusual possessive suffix in an adjective compound is possibly a remnant from former semizlik otu.
