From Javanese ꦫꦺꦏꦪꦱ (rekayasa), from Sanskrit रेखा (rekhā, drawing, sketch) + यशस् (yaśas, glory, honour, splendor). Coined by Indonesian linguist Anton Moedardo Moeliono.
