pieart (transitive or intransitive, 1st conjugation, present piearu, piear, piear, past piearu)

1. to move close (to something) while plowing

   pieart pie kaimiņu robežas ― to plow as far as, close to, the border with the neighbors

   ap pusdienas laiku viņš man piara klāt ― around noon he plowed close to me

2. to add (some area, to some other area) by plowing

   pieart kādu strēmeli klāt pie esoša lauka ― to add (by plowing) some strip (of land) to the existing field
