   ‎tunton (“guidance”) + ‎pang- -an → ‎panuntunan (“guideline”)

2. (adjectival circumfix) used to form adjectives indicating the root is intended for

   ‎dalawa (“two”) + ‎pang- -an → ‎pangdalawahan (“for two”)

   ‎matagal (“long (of a period of time)”) + ‎pang- -an → ‎pangmatagalan (“for long-term”)

• Normally, /h/ is inserted before -an when the root word ends with a vowel that is not followed by a glottal stop.
