Etymology

From Proto-Albanian *lubnaka, from Proto-Indo-European *leubh (to peel, to skin). Cognate to Lithuanian lubà (board (of a ceiling)), Latvian luba (bark, board), Old Prussian lubbo (board) and Proto-Slavic *lьbь (forehead, skull).[1]
