Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *lubnaka, from Proto-Indo-European *leubh (“to peel, to skin”). Cognate to Lithuanian lubà (“board (of a ceiling)”), Latvian luba (“bark, board”), Old Prussian lubbo (“board”) and Proto-Slavic *lьbь (“forehead, skull”).[1]
