idelig
Swedish
Etymology
Inherited from Old Swedish idheliker. Most likely cognate of id (“effort”), and thus related to idas, idka, and idog. For some usages interpreted as idel + -ig. Alternatively, derived from Old Swedish ið- (“repeated action”). Compare Old Norse iðuligr, iðugligr, iðurligr.
