Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *skainai. Compare Gothic 𐍃𐌺𐌴𐌹𐌽𐌰𐌽 (skeinan), Old High German skinan (“to shine”), with a similar sense development to that of English 'in a twinkling'.[1]
