Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *sada or *seda, deverbative of Proto-Indo-European *sed- (“to sit”) (compare English sit, Greek έδραι (édrai, “seat”), Romanian ședea). Çabej connects it to Proto-Indo-European *gʷṓws (“cattle”).[1]
