From Proto-Albanian *tˢira, from Proto-Indo-European *ḱerh₂- (“to mix”). Cognate with Ancient Greek κεράννυμι (keránnumi, “to mix”), Sanskrit श्रायति (śrāyati, “to cook, fry”).[1]
