burako
Ladino
Etymology
Uncertain. From Old Galician and Portuguese buraco (13th century), perhaps from Latin forāmen (“aperture, opening”) or rather from a local derivative of Proto-Indo-European *bʰerH- (“to pierce”) + the suffix -aco, from a pre-Latin suffix -akko-.
