Etymology
Borrowed from Ukrainian богати́р (bohatýr), from Old East Slavic богатꙑрь (bogatyrĭ), from a Turkic language, probably Khazar.[1] First attested in 1606.[2] Doublet of bogatyr. Compare Kyrgyz баатыр (baatır), Mongolian баатар (baatar) and Persian بهادر (bahâdor).
