Etymology
From Proto-Tocharian *ālle-kä, from Proto-Indo-European *h₂el-no-, from Proto-Indo-European *h₂el- (“other”). Cognate with Latin alius, English old. Compare Tocharian A ālak. Related to ālyauce, aletstse, alyiyatstse, and alokälymi.
