Tineo

Tineo or Tinéu is a village in Asturias, Spain. It has 3,200 inhabitants (2023) and lies on the Original Way of St. James (Camino Primitivo).

Understand

Coming from Oviedo on the Camino Primitivo, Tineo has albergues (hostels), ATMs and grocery stores.

Get in

There are two bus stations: The main bus station in the west and Recinto Ferial - Barrio Santa Teresa in the east. The main bus station is served by more buses and is generally more convenient for tourists.

ALSA stops in the town coming from Oviedo, Cangas de Narcea and Grandas de Salime.

From the Asturias airport it's usually the best to take a non-stop ALSA bus to Oviedo and then an ALSA bus to Tineo.

Get around

The streets of the village are somewhat steep, still due to the size of the town it can be easily explored on foot.
