Uruguay or the Oriental Republic of Uruguay is a country in South America. It borders with Argentina in the west, Brazil in the north, the Río de la Plata in the south and the Atlantic Ocean in the east. The capital of Uruguay is Montevideo.

Uruguay is named the Switzerland of South America, because of it's stability, peace, democracy and low corruption rates. The country is also more liberal than the other Latin American countries. The production, sale and use of cannabis are legalized and same-sex marriage is also legal.
