Rembrandt van Rijn

Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn was a Dutch painter and artist. He was born in Leiden on 15 July 1606. He died in Amsterdam on 4 October 1669.

He is famous for his many self-portraits, his pictures with Biblical themes, and his large paintings like The Night Watch and The Syndics of the Clothmaker's Guild.
