Peninsula

Cape Cod, a peninsula of Maine.
A peninsula (literally almost island) is a landform, whereby an island is connect to the mainland or another island by a (tiny) piece of land. It forms nearly an island. A few examples of peninsulas are the Peloponnese in Greece, Brittany in France, the Iberian Peninsula and the Florian Peninsula.
