Ovid

Ovid was a Roman poet. He was born Publius Ovidius Naso on 20 March 43 BC in Sulmo, Italia, Roman Republic. He died in AD 17 or 18 (age 58–60) in Tomis, Scythia Minor, Roman Empire.
Ovid is best known for the Metamorphoses and for collections of love poetry. Metamorphoses is one of the most important sources of classical mythology.
