Easter is a holiday celebrated in the Christian world. The day commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It always falls in a Sunday in March or April. Christians celebrate by going to church on Easter morning.

Traditional celebrations in the United States of America and other Western countries may include:

• Clothing: clothes for church and the new season, Easter bonnets
• Food: Easter brunch, candy baskets, jelly beans and marshmallow "peeps"
• Activities: church attendance, Easter parades, Easter egg hunts, Easter egg rolls
