Earthstar

The earthstar (scientific name : Geastrum, or Geaster, which means "earth star") is a fungus. It is characterised by a mushroom made of two layers: when ripe, the outer one stirs and open, in the shape of a star, revealing the inner spore sack. There are many known species of earthstars.
