Adult

An adult is a human term, that means a fully-grown human: one that isn't a child anymore.

In biology, people are adults when they have gone through puberty, and can make children.

In the law, people are adults when they have reached a certain age. This age is often 18, but it can vary depending on the different countries. Often, when someone has reached this age, they can drink alcohol and vote in elections.
