Background Information
Rancher was launched in 2014 with the mission of developing software to simplify the work of teams building applications with containers. At the time, the container market was in its early stages, Docker had just emerged, and significant questions about container management, security, and orchestration presented exciting challenges.
Rancher introduced its inaugural version in 2015, which served as an open-source software platform designed for developerts to work with with containers. Since 2020, Rancher joined SUSE, a pioneering open-source innovator. Throughout this journey, and especially now, Rancher has remained dedicated to crafting open-source software that empowers users to innovate across all domains.
