Background and Identification

The Palm Pre was released in mid-2009 in the US with Sprint as an executive carrier. The all-in-one device serves as a camera, media player, PDA, and of course, a phone. Palm's smart phone features many of the same capabilities found in devices like an iPhone, such as touch screen, the ability to run apps coincidentally, and connectivity via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The phones camera has 3.15 megapixel resolution sensor (2048 x 1536). It is the first phone to be powered by Texas Instruments OMAP 3430 processor.

The Palm Pre was upgraded to a second model titled the "Palm Pre 2." This model featured a flat touchscreen as opposed to the curved touchscreen of the original.
