Background Information
Coyote Linux was a floppy disk based distribution of Linux, created in 1998 by Vortech Consulting as a personal firewall distribution for personal hobbyists or educational networks with less then 200 users. The name Coyote was originally chosen as the target broadband provider was Time Warner Cable’s “Road Runner” cable Internet.
The last independent build of Coyote Linux was repleased on April 12, 2006. As of 2009, Coyote switched to a OpenSuse based distribution before the project went dorment.
As of July of 2024 the projet is being resurected to be buildable on Windows 11.
